Compared to similar games, TF2 is fortunately mostly hacker free. I’ve yet to experience a confirmed hacker although I have suspected a few players of being unnaturally* good. But what do you do when you encounter a hacker? This video has some advice and although it appears Valve won’t ban the cheater immediately your report may result in the hacker eventually being put out of action. In any case, this video contains some good practical advice even if it’s just demonstrating some ways to identify a hacker’s account.
*unnaturally good like the time I was playing spy with the cloak and dagger and was quietly waiting cloaked in some dark corner only to have an enemy spy run straight up to me and stab me. Pity I was playing single-player against bots =)
